Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.
This Privacy Policy describes how Tech Center One ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with our website and our Tech Support, Marketing, Digital, and Technology services. By using our website or services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact information — name, phone number, email address, billing/service address, and business name where applicable.
- Service information — description of your technical issue or project, service history, and communications with our staff.
- Invoice & billing metadata — service description, amount charged, payment method type (e-check, ACH, or card brand), and payment confirmation status. We do not collect or store full credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or e-check details — those are keyed directly into our merchant payment provider's own secure interface by staff during your call and are never stored in our internal systems.
- Website usage data — pages visited, browser type, and general device information collected automatically through standard web server logs and minimal essential cookies.
- Communications data — records of calls, emails, and form submissions made to schedule or discuss services, kept for quality and dispute-resolution purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Schedule, deliver, and support the services you request;
- Generate and send invoices, and calculate applicable Georgia sales tax where relevant;
- Communicate with you about your service request, appointment, or account, including by phone, email, or text where you have consented;
- Improve our services, website, and customer support quality; and
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
3. Text Messages & Calls (TCPA)
If you provide your phone number to us, we may contact you by phone or text message regarding scheduling, service updates, or invoicing, consistent with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). We will not send marketing text messages unless you have provided prior express written consent. You may opt out of text communications at any time by replying "STOP" to any text message we send, or by contacting us at support@techcenter.one. Message and data rates may apply. Opting out of texts does not affect our ability to reach you by phone regarding services you have already requested.
4. Third-Party Payment Processing
Payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant third-party merchant payment providers. Our staff key in your payment details directly on the provider's own secure system during your call; we do not store your full payment card, bank account, or e-check details in our internal systems.
5. Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses only the minimal cookies necessary for basic functionality (such as remembering your theme preference or session state). We do not use cookies for third-party advertising tracking, and we do not sell website visitor data to advertisers.
6. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with: (a) third-party service providers who help us operate our business (payment processors, hosting providers, email delivery services), each bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations; (b) domain registrars and hosting/data center partners as needed to fulfill Technology services you request; and (c) government or legal authorities where required by law, subpoena, or court order.
7. Data Retention
We retain client, service, and invoice records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services and to satisfy accounting, tax, and legal record-keeping obligations, after which records are securely deleted or anonymized.
8. Data Security
Our website and email communications are protected with industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to maintain reasonable and appropriate safeguards for the data we hold.
9. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"); request restriction of or object to certain processing; request a portable copy of your data; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal bases for processing include performance of a contract with you (providing services you requested), our legitimate business interests, and compliance with legal obligations.
10. Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we have collected about you and how it has been used and disclosed; request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions; correct inaccurate personal information; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information); and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12 below. We will verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for individuals and businesses that are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
12. Exercising Your Rights & Contact
To exercise any rights described in this policy, or with any privacy questions, contact us at support@techcenter.one or by phone at (646) 777-8997. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
